About the Founder of Connections by Curtis

​

Connections by Curtis was started by Curtis Struthers.  He has been quite involved within the multicultural community for the past several years in many ways.  About a decade ago, he founded a couple groups which focus on helping Newcomers from China to adjust to their new life and business operations here in Canada.  Similar groups were also created for the larger Asian community.  In 2020, a news article was written about this.  More information about each group can be found under the Groups section.

Curtis also helps professionals who immigrated to Canada with their Business English and understandings of Canadian culture.  During the school year, he tutors College and University students with their Accounting, Finance, and Math courses.  This is something that he has been doing for more than 20 years.
 

He also hosts at a variety of events as the Master of Ceremonies (MC).  His biggest event, to date, was the Canada 150 Celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Downtown Toronto in 2017.  Something else that is quite unique about Curtis is that he is the English Voice for the automated phone system of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China at 416-964-7260.

Given the variety of projects that he's involved in, Curtis really enjoys working with and helping people.
